No Meeting this Week
There’s no meeting this week. We everyone has a safe a Happy Thanksgiving.
December Campout
This is a 2-day/1-night hiking (or mountain biking)_and camping trip to the wonderful Dauset Trails. Scouts that choose to hike will be working on navigation with a map and compass, as well as trail cooking. Scouts that wish to ride will be organized into separate groups based on off-road-biking skills / experience levels (novice, intermediate, advanced). Saturday: loop trail rides of various difficulties will depart from the campground. Sunday: additional riding. We will walk the Wildlife-Exhibit-Trail and the Garden-(and-Scouter-Memorial)-Trail at some point. Fishing the campsite-adjacent pond is permissible (to campers-only). Hiking the bike trails is possible, provided supervision is sufficient (other hikers will be on the trails).
For more details about the campout visit: Oak Grove Scouting Campout Page

We will be camping at Sea Camp, on the southern end of the Island, and will have the opportunity to hike to see the Dungeness Ruins as well as the other historical buildings on that part of the island. We will also be working with the rangers on the island to do a service project.
