After the Court of Honor scouts will take part in a short meeting and parents are invited to attend a meeting to dicuss the current state of the troop.

Scout Sunday

Scout Sunday is a date that the BSA and many churches have set aside to recognize the contributions of young people and adults to Scouting. Oak Grove United Methodist Church, our host and sponsor, will celebrate Scouting on February 12, 2023. In order to show our appreciation to the church for all that they do for us, it is important the we make a good showing, both as participants in the service and by attending the service in uniform that day. Participation in the service can include solo options, like reciting a prayer or reading a passage of scripture, or it can include singing with the choir or playing a musical instrument in a group. If you are interested in participating in the service, please let Mr. Taylor know as soon as possible.

These are usually two sessions in the late afternoon or evening. There are quite a few popular merit badges including a large selection of Eagle Required. These usually fill up, but if you look at later weeks, there are plenty of seats still open.
