Meeting This Week
This week we’re planning out our next few months of meetings and activities. If you have any ideas you’d really like us to do write them down! Also this meeting, Violet will be stepping up as SPL, which means we need a new ASPL so if you are interested, write out a brief speech to present on Tuesday and we will have a vote. If you have any questions about being an ASPL or what it entails please email Jamie or Mr. Taylor!
May Camping Trip — Backpacking Fort Mountain S.P.
May 12 – 14, 2023
About the Campout
For our May campout we will be hitting the trail for hiking and backpacking at Fort Mountain State Park. This is a beautiful location with outstanding trails, suitable for all Scouts. Scouts should select one of the four different groups that you would like to particpate with on this trip, but depending on group size and adult leadership, we may need to move you to a different group.

Round Table
Adult Leaders and Parents of Troop 77, Troop 177 and Venturing Crew 77,
Please come join our Hightower Trail District Roundtable meeting on April 27th to hear an Emory Psychiatrist and an Emory Psychologist talk about and answer questions regarding the current mental and emotional health of our Scout-age kids. While we host Roundtables monthly (I am currently the Scout Roundtable Commissioner that organizes those events), this one in particular is a “don’t miss” opportunity. I think this is an amazing chance for all of us to hear from experts who deal with these issues day in and day out, and I really hope you can attend. In order to make sure we have enough space for everyone that would like to attend the event, please RSVP to mwevans76@gmail.com ASAP that you can make it. If you already received Hightower Trail District’s email directly with the information above and have already RSVP’d, then you DO NOT need to RSVP again.
Thanks. Clinton Cole
